About US
Adisia was established a decade ago to support Ethiopian Jewish women in Israel by providing a setting in which they can create and market traditional Ethiopian Jewish embroidered handicrafts.

The project, which is sponsored by the Women's International Zionist Organization (WIZO), and receives support from the Massachusetts-based Harold Grinspoon Foundation, employs about 30 Ethiopian women in the Northern Israeli town of Afula. The program features intercultural exchange, the involvement of a number of volunteers and the empowerment of women.

Adisia produces an array of uniquely bright and colorful hand-made products including kipput, embroidered broaches and bracelets, challah covers, matza covers, mezuzahs. Items can be personalized for bar/bat mitzvas or other special occasions. Adisia can also produce highly artistic, custom-made kuppot (wedding canopies) and parachot (torah covers).
