What is the EGM?

The EGM is the Enlarged General Meeting of World WIZO that takes place once every four years in Israel and gathers hundreds of WIZO women from all over the world for a 5 day conference.

What is the dress code for the EGM?

The dress code for the EGM is business-casual. For the touring day the dress code is informal and for the opening and closing events, the dress code is formal.

What is normally the weather during January in Israel?

January is fairly cold and rainy. Average temperature in Tel Aviv is 8-16 C/ 45- 60 F and in Jerusalem 6-11 C/ 43-53 F.

What are the registration fees for the EGM?

The registration fees for the EGM are as follow:
EGM delegate: $600 USD
Accompanying person: $450 USD

I am coming with my spouse or accompanying person, what are the options for them?

We will be offering an outstanding program for accompanying persons that will include two and a half days of touring, opening and closing ceremony of the EGM.

What is the EGM registration cancellation policy?

Upon registration, a $ 100 deposit will be charged, to be applied for any cancellation.
For cancellations between Dec 1 - Dec. 31, a 1-night cancellation fee will be applied as well.
For all cancellations from Jan 1- full cancellation fee will apply.

How and when do I get my badge and EGM material?

A WIZO registration desk will open at the Hilton Tel Aviv next to the ballroom at the lobby level on Sunday January 17th, 2015.
You will be receiving your badge and materials once all payments are approved.
For a smooth registration process, we strongly suggest to settle the entire payment prior to arrival.

Can I get a discount for registering early?

YES! We are offering an early bird discount of $50 USD until October 15, 2015:
Delegate: $550 USD
Accompanying person: $400 USD

What does my registration fee include?

The registration fee for the delegates include the following:
Participation at the 2016 EGM, event materials, opening and closing ceremonies, some meals and touring day.
Registration fee for accompanying persons include the following:
One and a half days of touring for accompanying persons only, one touring day with the EGM delegates, participation at the opening and closing ceremony.

Which hotels are being offered for the EGM?

IMPORTANT – Hotel space is limited – and will work on a first come-first serve basis. To ensure your spot at your preferred hotel, we strongly encourage you to book the hotel immediately.


The EGM official hotel is the Hilton Tel Aviv, Independence Park, Tel 972-3-5202222.
The hotel offers special EGM rates for deluxe, Executive and Vista rooms.

All hotels are within a walking distance of 5-15 minutes from the Hilton, but the end of the route is up hill.

Will there be organized transportation from the hotels to the EGM at the Hilton Tel Aviv?

There will be a free shuttle bus running from all hotels, 30 min. prior to the first morning program and 30 min. prior to evening events.
The shuttle will depart the Hilton Hotel to the different hotel 15 min. after the end of the afternoon session and at the end of each evening session.

Am I able to get the same hotel rates if I decide to arrive early or stay after the EGM?

The same rates are applicable from January 14-24, 2016. If you require a longer stay, please contact Sarit at sarit@igt.co.il  

After booking my room, should I contact the hotel directly if there are any changes in the reservation?

All changes in the hotel reservation must be forwarded to sarit@igt.co.il and not directly to hotels.

Travel & Transfers

Will you be organizing transportation from and to the airport?

IGT offers transfers from/to the airport for individuals and groups, as well as meeting and assistance services from the plane or the passport control.  These services are at extra cost and you can register for them on the registration form.

What are other transportation options from the airport to my hotel?

Hadar special taxi services is located at the exit gate at Ben Gurion Airport and offers 24/7 taxi service. Location: Ground Floor Gates 01 and 03.
The Israeli Railway Station is located at the Ground Floor Gate 03. The train runs on Sun. – Fri. from 6:00 am- 23:00 every 25 minutes and every hour from 23:00-05:00 am.
You need to descend at Savidor Station and take a taxi to hotel, distance of 7 min. drive.

I want to rent a car, do you offer any discounts for WIZO members?

WIZO has an arrangement with Sixt Rental Services, offering 10% discount for EGM participants. For reservations - Please contact sarit@igt.co.il


How can I find out about the program for the EGM?

The detailed program of the EGM will be posted in the EGM website soon.

Will the food at the EGM be Kosher?

Yes, all the meals provided are Kosher under Rabinnate Supervision.

May I bring guests to the opening and closing events?

If you want to invite guests to the opening and/or closing events, please contact us (wizo@wizo.org) to help you with your request. Each guest will be charged for participating.

What should I expect during the travel day?

During the travel day (Tuesday, January 19, 2016) we will visit WIZO projects, tourism sites and will be exposed to outstanding women in Israeli society who are taking the lead. We are expected to leave the hotel at around 8:00 am and be back at the hotel at around 9:30 pm.

May I bring guests to the travel day?

Will I be able to access the presentations and event photographs post event?

We will make presentations (following presenters’ approval to share) and pictures from the EGM available to you during and after the event.
