Dear Chaverot,
Earlier today, I sent a letter to WIZOuk and WIZO Manchester on behalf of World WIZO expressing our sympathies and solidarity with our WIZOuk Chaverot, the Jewish community in Manchester and the British people at this difficult time.
We stand together side by side against this attack on our values of love, hope and democracy.
Terrorism will not prevail.
Dear Michele,
I would like to express our shock and sorrow following the bloody and evil suicide attack at the Manchester Arena last night.
Although at this moment, we are still awaiting the full story of the terrible blast, I would like to convey World WIZO's deep sympathies to our WIZOuk Chaverot, the Jewish community in Manchester, and the British people.
We would like to send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the dozens of innocent children and teenagers, whose only wish was to see their pop idol, who lost their lives in last night's barbaric attack.
As a mother and grandmother, my heart goes out to all the mothers who are still in search for their teenage daughters this morning. Neither the heart not the mind can comprehend this senseless tragedy.
I pray that those who are missing will be found safe and sound, and I wish a speedy recovery to all those who were left injured.
After the terrible Westminster attack a couple of months ago, this heartbreaking attack is yet another painful reminder that terrorism has no limits and no borders anymore.
We all stand by you in these difficult times. Here, in Israel, in the United Kingdom, and around the world, we stand shoulder to shoulder, and rise together against this attack on our values of love, hope and democracy.
We pray for your safety and the well-being of the Jewish community in Manchester and across Britain.
Our hearts and thoughts are with you,
Prof. Rivka Lazovsky,
Chairperson, World WIZO
