Yom Kippur 2016

October 10, 2016

When the notes of the Shofar will be heard in Shuls across the world, we will ask to be written in the Book of Life – בספר החיים for all we have done and for all we will continue to do, because our journey is still ongoing.

With the new-year in sight, let us welcome fresh ideas, a breeze of change, new opportunities and exciting hope for a time of success, fulfilment and joy.

Shana Tova 2016

September 29, 2016

Happy new year to the whole of our WIZO family!

Shimon Peres will forever be remembered as one of Israel's most prominent politicians and diplomats, a leader who played a major role in the nation's history from its very inception. He was a big proponent of the peace process and a man who devoted his life to the State of Israel and the people of Israel.

Silene Balassiano, President of WIZO Brazil, recounts the inspiring experience that the volunteers of WIZO Brazil had supporting Israeli athletes at the recent Olympic and Paralympic games in Rio de Janeiro.

This visit conveys an important message to Israel's youth and parents about the value of the WIZO boarding school educational framework.

The Olive Tree women have proven to all of us that in Israel, we can have a society where every human being receives the same level of appreciation, love, compassion, where each one can fulfil herself.

I am deeply proud to announce that the educational staff of four of our WIZO schools a were awarded grants from the Ministry of Education for the high achievements of their pupils.

It was deeply moving to see the eyes of the parents sparkling with pride when they saw their children transition into adolescence in one of the most special Jewish traditional ceremonies.

I am proud to share with you a report from the Exhibition “Women and their Olive Trees” that was successfully displayed at the European Parliament in Strasbourg from 4th-7th of July 2016
