Recruiting New Volunteers to WIZO's Day Care Centers

WIZO's Early Age Division organized a very successful conference for potential volunteers from across the country. Their campaign attracted 120 women from all over Israel for a special day that included a keynote speech by MK Gila Gamliel, Minister for Social Equality and a wonderful theater performance about volunteerism.

Early Age volunteers 1

For over 97 years, volunteerism has played a major role in our WIZO work.

Throughout the years, it remained at the heart of our work, even after large portions of our services were turned into professional services, carried out by paid members of staff.

Yet across WIZO, whether in WIZO Israel, in the Early Age Division or even in our federations, we have been witnessing a mounting competition for volunteers over the past years.

This need to find fresh and creative ways to recruit new volunteers has been acknowledged by the Early Age Division's Chairperson Avital Blumenthal and her Director Dr. Naomi Moreno. Together, they organized an enjoyable and informative conference for potential volunteers from across the country.

After television guest appearances, Facebook posts and with the help of contacts in the community and municipalities, their division managed to attract 120 women from across Israel for a special day that included a keynote speech by MK Gila Gamliel, Minister for Social Equality and a wonderful theater act about volunteerism.

I was delighted to speak to these wonderful women about the immense impact they can make in a child's life – and the effect it will have in their own lives by joining an organization that was established by and for volunteer women from across the world.

I am proud to share with you that more than 50% of those who attended the conference have or will, in the near future, begin volunteering in our Day Care Centers!

I want to congratulate our Early Age Division, Avital and Naomi on this important initiative and on the time and effort they spent on making it such a huge success!

Recrutando nuevas voluntarias para las Guarderías WIZO

Early Age volunteers 1
