As Passover draws near, we look forward to enjoying the Seder, its wonderful atmosphere and delectable foods together with our families. But there are many people in Israel who are not as fortunate.
For example, Meital, the youngest child in a large family, was not doing well in school. Her teacher found out that her parents were struggling to make ends meet and could not even put food on the table. Meital could not focus on her studies, because she was lacking proper nutrition.
To help children like Meital, WIZO serves free lunch and dinner to children in our daycare centers, schools and youth villages every day.
For only $10 a day, you can provide one of these children with nutritious meals.
In this way, children at WIZO day care centers, schools and youth villages are getting the best education in Israel – and you are ensuring that they have the best conditions to do so.
You can make a difference by donating to the WIZO It’s Giving Time page or through a federation’s page.
- $10 helps feed 1 child with nutritious meals for a day.
- $50 provides a child with meals for all five days in school.
- $200 means that child has a warm meal, every day, for the entire month.
Even the smallest contribution can make a big difference in a child's life.
Please join us in the fight against childhood hunger in Israel by making your contribution now.
Cash or check donations made payable to WIZO are welcome.
Please share our fundraising page with friends and family!
In today’s difficult economic climate, nearly 1 in 3 children in Israel are living in poverty.
No child deserves to go hungry – and children should not be worrying about where their next meal will come from instead of focusing on their studies.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and your contribution to WIZO.
