Women's Leadership Program

In Israel, there is a dearth of women in leadership positions. This means that women are not full partners in important public discourse. WIZO believes that it is possible to advance a large number of women to senior levels and positions of influence and leadership in every sphere of life and that supporting women’s initiatives is the best way to achieve these goals.

Without WIZO

A lack of female leadership means a lack of perspective, understanding, and representation of half of the population. It means policy that lacks the ability to consider circumstances unique to women. It means less consideration and fewer opportunities for the advancement and success of women and girls.

With WIZO

A New Social Order, created in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy, forges a new cadre of women executives and leaders who will advance Israeli civil society. Professional women aged 28-60 from all across Israeli society, come together to conceptualize and create social initiatives answering Israel’s pressing needs.

WIZO Incubator for Social Enterprise takes the concepts create in the A New Social Order and actualizes them with concrete tools, skills ongoing training and mentoring.

Projects launched to date:

  • AN NGO supporting ultra orthodox women through the process of divorce.
  • Guidance and support for women running in local elections.

Why we need you

WIZO is looking to expand this program into the periphery where women and girls have the fewest opportunities.

“My program helps single mothers find work and improve their lives. WIZO gave me the opportunity to change other people’s lives. I learned I can be somebody.”
