Straight Facts
Dear Chaverot
I hope this finds you well. It has been a very tumultuous month since the last edition of Straight Facts. Israel laid to rest hostages who were murdered in captivity, including Shiri, Ariel and Kfir Bibas. Shiri’s terrified face as she cradled her beautiful flame haired angels while they were cruelly taken captive became the symbol of the horrors of 7 October.
Israel has also resumed its military campaign in Gaza and the Iranian backed Houthis have fired ballistic missiles on Israeli cities, sending millions of us running to our shelters on a near daily basis. This all contributes to the increased trauma and stress of Israel’s citizens and is a reminder of why WIZO’s work on the ground, supported by our phenomenal Federations is so critical – and appreciated. You provide the much needed support and enable WIZO, the country’s emotional first responders to do what matters – help the vulnerable in Israeli society. Thank you!
In this edition of Straight Facts we learn about Israel’s underground warfare, hear from Eli Sharabi at the UN, ask where are the Jews of Hollywood and more.
I hope this is of service to you.
Please share with your communities and Federations.
I hope this is of service to you.
Warm regards
