Straight Facts
Dear Chaverot,
I hope this finds you well. I write this on the Israeli festival of Tu B’Av, a day that celebrates love and I would like to take this opportunity to express my profound gratitude and love for all of you. Thank you for all you do for WIZO and for Israel – especially during these turbulent times.
In this edition we take aim at the United Nations. Once the world’s most venerated global institution, the UN, with its obsessive focus on Israel at the expense of other conflicts, has betrayed its mandate to protect human rights and since 7 October, its internal rot has been exposed. This edition shares how.
In every edition of Straight Facts and on the WIZO News and Hasbara What’s App (details in the image below), I make a concerted effort to share stories about 7 October and the experiences of our hostages. It is my belief that education about the events of that day are just as important as those of the Holocaust and it is our imperative to bear witness, not forget and to educate about both horrific events, especially at a time when the world forgets and antisemitism is at record highs.
