Straight Facts
Dear Chaverot,
I hope this finds you well. I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you and your families L’Shana Tova Umetukah and a safe and meaningful fast. May you be inscribed for a year filled with love, health, prosperity and peace.
One of the tenets Israel holds dear is Tikkun Olam (fixing or improving the world). This is never more evident than when disaster strikes somewhere and Israel immediately offers assistance and mobilizes our exceptional teams, that have garnered recognition and praise – even from the United Nations. In the last weeks, devastating earthquakes have struck Venezuela, a country we have had no bilateral relations with, and Colombia, a country that prior to their recent election, was extremely hostile. This did not matter. Israel did what we do best – rushed to assistance. As I write this, an 80 personnel strong delegation is on the ground in Colombia in Operation Brit Reim, or Alliance of Brothers.
In this edition of Straight Facts, we go inside the IDF mission in Venezuela, meet some exceptional midwives and nurses, see more proof that refutes ugly blood libels targeting Israel and Jews and more.
