Opening the Year with Love: A New School Year Begins in WIZO’s Daycare Centers

As August comes to an end, excitement is filling WIZO’s daycare centers across Israel.

After weeks of intensive preparation throughout the summer, our teams are ready to welcome babies, toddlers, and young children into a new school year filled with care, growth, learning, and love.

This year, the numbers tell a story of investment, expansion, and deep organizational commitment.

Across Israel, 152 WIZO daycare centers will provide high-quality early childhood education and care. Around 9,500 children will fill the centers with laughter, curiosity, and joy. They will be welcomed each day by 2,500 dedicated, loving, and professional staff members, who bring heart, expertise, and commitment to the work of early childhood education.

This year also marks an important step forward in enriching the children’s developmental environment, with 115 innovative sensory-motor rooms designed to support and strengthen children’s motor, sensory, and developmental growth.

Behind the opening of the school year stands an entire summer of action and preparation.

Throughout the summer weeks, WIZO’s early childhood teams took part in professional training sessions and concentrated preparation days. They refreshed procedures, strengthened their pedagogical toolbox, and deepened their knowledge in order to begin the year with confidence, professionalism, and care.

At the same time, WIZO teams worked on maintenance, upgrades, equipment, and preparation in the daycare centers themselves, ensuring that every child enters a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment from the very first day.

Alongside the reopening of WIZO’s existing daycare centers, this year brings a particularly exciting new development: the opening of a new daycare center in partnership with Clalit Health Services and Meir Medical Center in Kfar Saba.

This new center represents an important expansion of WIZO’s early childhood network, enabling the organization to reach new communities and create additional high-quality educational environments for young children and their families. It is a meaningful partnership and an exciting step forward.

For Keren Kamerinsky, Director of WIZO’s Early Childhood Division, the beginning of the school year is both a moment of pride and a reminder of the responsibility carried by every member of the team.
