Dear Chaverot,

During the last few days we have all witnessed, with horror, the wave of terror that has occurred in Paris, in which four Jews, doing their Shabbat shopping, were amongst seventeen citizens who were murdered in Paris over a three day period by Muslim fundamentalists.

We send our condolences to the Jewish community in France, and to the bereaved families of:
Yoav Hattab, z"l
Philippe Braham, z"l
Yohan Cohen z"l
François-Michel Saada z"l

All the Naaleh students from France who are learning in CHW Hadassim, and their families in France, are safe. The educational staff are giving assistance and support to the worried pupils and calming their fears during this uncertain time.

I want to stress that we are ready to absorb more students from France whenever the need arises. We are also preparing for a new group of Naaleh France students who are planning to come to CHW Hadassim for the next school year.

We hope that the French government will be able to prevent future tragedies such as this, and that they will be able to provide adequate protection for the Jewish community in France.

In my name, and in the name of the whole of World WIZO, send our strong solidarity and support to WIZO France, to Joelle Lezmi, President of WIZO France, and her Executive, and all its members, praying that they find the strength to cope with the challenges that confront them.

With warm regards,
