A message from the Chairperson
When you have passion for something, you let nothing get in your way. My passion for WIZO know no limits. I want to share that passion with women all over the UK, to strengthen WIZOuk in its vital support of WIZO in Israel that delivers crucial education, social services and empowerment to Israeli society. As an Israeli living in the UK, it is my way of giving back, to be a part of something so big, so important and so… WIZO!
History
Rebecca Sieff founded WIZO in Great Britain in 1918. WIZOUK remains the largest federation of WIZO and is one of the largest Jewish Women’s membership organizations with active groups across the UK and Ireland. Our members and supporters raise funds and awareness of WIZO’s vital social care work in Israel today. Our groups span all ages and come from diverse backgrounds including Young WIZO for the under 30’s, Aviv groups for those aged 30-45 and WIZOnet for business professionals. In particular, for our regional groups WIZO continues to be a core part of their social life
Mission
WIZOUK supports WIZO’s life changing social care projects in Israel through fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns, whilst endeavouring to strengthen ties between Israel and the UK
