In a few weeks, Jewish families will gather around Seder tables around the world to celebrate Passover – the liberation of our nation from slavery in Egypt. We will read the Haggadah, recite the Four Questions, sing Dayenu, search for the Afikoman, and drink the four cups of wine.
Most of us, that is – but not all: hundreds of thousands of children in Israel will not rejoice on Passover, will not enjoy the loving sounds of the family Seder table and share in a delicious holiday meal. These are the children who live in poverty, with empty refrigerators and - far too often – empty stomachs as well.
WIZO is devoted to children and their families 365 days a year. But now, as Passover, we have a special responsibility to ensure that all children can enjoy a holiday meal.
For this, WIZO has launched a Passover Food Campaign to raise funds to feed thousands of hungry Israeli children for the coming Passover holiday, and after.
Please watch our short campaign video and share it on Facebook and Click on the video below to watch an donate.
The Haggadah tells us: "All who are hungry, come and eat; all who are needy come and celebrate Passover."
All of us at WIZO wish you and your loved ones a happy and sweet Passover.
