Programs

Continuing Our Way is a program for women who are going through a divorce, breakup or separation from a significant other.

First You is a program that was developed and launched at the WIZO Israel Eilat branch during the COVID-19 pandemic, after a long period during which we entered and exited lockdowns and there was a feeling that the mental resilience of many women was shaken. The program focuses on developing personal, maternal, and family resilience during crises such as the pandemic, the Hamas war and other individual or family crises. In 2023, the program focused on a central theme – motherhood for older women aged 50 and above.

Mothers by Choice is a support group for women who chose to have children on their own, without any father or partner taking part in the process. The choice of single motherhood is a complex choice that requires a meaningful and self-aware process. Even after the decision is made, a woman needs support, knowledge and guidance during the fertility treatments, pregnancy and after birth. Single mothers by choice have to deal with loneliness, a
lack of understanding on the part of society, and the burden of having sole responsibility for a child. Single mothers have unique challenges that require a community that embraces them.

Spread Your Wings is a program for….

Mother First is for first-time mothers. The program, divided into two stages, takes women through their first pregnancy, preparing for childbirth and motherhood, and caring for their own physical and emotional wellbeing. Stage 1 – for women in the pregnancy process, preparing for childbirth, and Stage 2 – for women who have placed their babies in day care centers and are planning to return to the workforce.
