History
- Founded in 1926
- National Federation, currently with 10 Centers throughout Brazil: Amazonas, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Norte, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, and Brasília
- Approximately 920 WIZO chaverot (members)
- Centers organize extensive cultural programming and fundraising events and celebrate Jewish holidays
Projects
- WIZO Brasil supports WIZO projects in Jerusalem, Hadera, Rehovot, Givatayim, and Even Yehuda
Mission
- Achieve and surpass goals established jointly with World WIZO.
- Maintain and expand the number of volunteers in Brazil.
- Form new groups of Chaverot Aviv.
- Support the development of Centers in communities of diverse size, composition and financial reality.
- Maintain constant communication with World WIZO and other country federations.
- Responsible for translating into Portuguese and providing marketing materials for Chaverot and supporters.
