President Deborah Sibony


Established around the 1940’s in Colombia, WIZO began as a small organization led by woman of the local jewish communities whose primary focus was to support and fund various projects locally to help those in need in Israel. For many decades WIZO was present in different cities in Colombia such as Bogotá, Cali, Barranquilla and Medellín, and it played a significant role in the Jewish Communties providing an opportunity for different generations of women to work together for the Israeli Society. Nowadays WIZO is mainly active in Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, and receives support from jewish communities of Colombia.


WIZO in Colombia is dedicated to developing cultural, artistic, and public welfare, in order to disseminate and promote Jewish culture in the national territory, and to generate purposes of cultural integration and raise funds to provide support for infants, children, youth, women and the elderly in Israel.
